What you need to know when making up a container...
How does this all work?
The 'shop' allows you to 'add to cart' / basket and 'checkout' like you would a typical web shop with your selected products. However, unlike a typical web shop, when you checkout you are not paying, or even confirming an order. Instead when you checkout, we will receive your selected products, work out a packing solution for the container/s and get back to you with a formal quote. You will then be asked if you'd like to 'accept and sign' the formal quote to confirm the order.
Which products can I mix?
You can mix any products with the same country of origin. So Vietnamese and Pakistani products cannot be mixed in the same container.
How many pallets?
A 40' container is made up of 20 full height pallets and each one of these pallets can be different, within the constraints explained below.
40’ container = 20 full pallets, in up to 10 styles.
20’ container = 10 full pallets, in up to 5 styles.
What about styles?
The minimum quantity for one particular style is 2 full pallets, as it is not viable to manufacture very small production runs, e.g. half a pallet of a particular style. However, where possible the finish as well as colour can be different on each of the 2 full pallets.
Atlantis and Glazed styles are interchangeable (explained below) along with their colours, as are Matt and Shiny colours for Polystone styles.
Terracotta and Rustic styles are exclusive and therefore require 2 full pallets of each style.
Finishes & Colours
(There are roughly 50,000 variation of pots in the shop when you factor in all the styles, finishes and colours. As yet, we do not have images of them all and so you may see an Atlantis pot which is shown as Glazed and visa versa. There's also a good chance we only have a single image of the style, as opposed to numerous for all the different colours. Please reference the Colourways pages and use your imagination! )
You will notice all the Atlantis and Glazed products are numbered. These numbers represent a style (shape and size) which is common between the products - ‘Atlantis 28’ is the same style as ‘Glazed 28’, just finished differently.
So besides one being finished in Atlantis and the other in Glazed, this style could also be finished in a different colours.
E.g.
As you need to have 2 full pallets of each style you could have either:
'Glazed 28' in Blue + 'Glazed 28' in Green
Or
'Glazed 28' in Blue + 'Atlantis 28' in Rust
A handful of popular colours are available to select directly from the product’s page. However, for all colour options, please refer to the Colourways list linked bottom right of the product pages.
N.B. Gas Glazed Colourways only apply to Glazed 143 to 147 styles. For the rest of the Glazed styles, please refer to the Dragon Glazed Colourways list for more colour options.
Polystone colours are all matt by default. For Shiny-glossy colour, please simply specify your choice by typing it into the Shiny-glossy option box, as shown below for colour codes.
Choosing a colour from a colourways list is easy. You just need to select the 'Colour code' multicoloured option box as shown below and type in the code of your chosen colour e.g. '50084' for Burnt Cream. Then click on the 'Add to Cart' button.
Exceptions
Desperately trying not to make this any more complicated – promise!
Stock lot pallets do not have to be ordered in pairs. So if you wound up with an odd number of pallets due to picking three of the same style, rather than having an even number, you could make it even by adding a single Atlantis or Glazed – Stock Lot pallet.
Occasionally two or more orders come in at once, which means these orders will be very close in the production schedule. When this happens the first order may have 2 x ‘Atlantis 1’ for example. This means the minimum production run of a style has been achieved and you can piggy back off it. Therefore you might only need to have a single pallet of a particular style in your container order. So if you are particularly keen to have more variation in your container, please contact us.
Pallets of Pakistani terracotta do not have to be ordered in pairs, but for best logistic and therefore cost efficiency we would suggest ordering each style in full pallets.
There is a lot take in here - please don't hesitate to give us a ring with any questions.
